THANK YOU BCSO! The 3rd Annual 3rd Annual JAILBREAK Brevard Adventure Race was a huge success and we were proud to be a part of this awesome event.
The race was held Saturday, October 17th from 8am to 4pm at the Brevard County Jail Complex.
As one of 3 beneficiaries for this charity event, we volunteered at the start/finish line distributing water and snacks to all participants. We also had a great turnout on our team and had a blast running it together!
Thank you to all participants for being good sports and getting muddy, wet, and taking a hit or two, to not only support The Parker Foundation but also the Brevard Field of Dreams and United Way.
YOU are the best!!! Hope, Believe, Achieve!!
See you all out there next year!
May 20, 2016: Founders Ted and Melissa Parker visited The Little Yellow Schoolhouse in Isla Mujeres, Mexico to learn more about their story and to bring donations of much needed supplies and materials. The school specializes in educating children with a variety of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. They operate solely on donations and community support to give a formal education to children that are unable to keep up in the typical Mexican schools; the school has an 85% rate of getting their students caught up and integrated back into the public school system!
The Parker Foundation looks forward to continuing to shine a light on Autism efforts in developing countries and around the world, to help increase awareness and build support for children and families on a global scale.
The Parker Foundation for Autism and Child Development was named one of three beneficiaries of the 2017 Dancing for the Space Coast Fundraiser through the Brevard County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, July 6th at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club during the check presentation ceremony for the 2016 event beneficiaries! The event will take place at Florida Institute of Technologies' Clemente Center on June 3rd 2017; the other local charities that will benefit next year include the Children's Advocacy Center and the King Center for the Performing Arts. We are thankful and excited for this opportunity which will help us to expand our fully funded education, sports and arts programs!
Saturday, January 9th was a big day of fun at the Grand Opening of the Space Coast Field of Dreams!
We had a great time playing soccer on the brand new fully accessible soccer fields, meeting families and watching children of all abilities join in together in many different activities, sports and on the playground. If you haven't been out there yet to check it out, you should!
